This was an interesting job for the Local House Clearance Service team. In the loft, 2 brothers had made themselves a bedroom over 50 years ago, complete with 2 single beds, a table lamp on each side of their bed, 1950s dressing table and a dartboard in the corner. It looked very cosy in the summer, but in the winter, it must have been cold. They even had a very large and heavy 1930 radiogram in the loft, I wonder how many times there parents knocked or yelled up to them, to turn the music volume down.
The 2 single beds and the dressing table where massive compared to the size of the hatch and we ended up having to saw them up into smaller pieces to get them out. Another interesting clearance of a 2 bedroom house and garage that was full of all sorts of old tools and clothing, perfect for recycling.
